What I Want gives insight to the daily pain of someone who gives unreciprocated, expendable love. It is the second piece of Wanting & Having: a concept EP encompassing the varying emotions that get tangled up within what a person might want versus what they might have. The theme emerged naturally over the months-long writing process, and each song was built on those unfiltered and universal plights.
