What You Want is about the desire to give someone you love everything they wish for, even if that might mean separation from you. It is the first piece of Wanting & Having: a concept EP encompassing the varying emotions that get tangled up within what a person might want versus what they might have. The theme emerged naturally over the months-long writing process, and each song was built on those unfiltered and universal plights.
